A panel that makes recommendations about Medicare payment policy to Congress. The panel composes two annual reports to Congress with their findings.

Quality Improvement Organization (QIO)

An organization tasked with reviewing the quality of care received by Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries. Previously called a Peer Review Organization.
