Provision allowing states to offer home based or community based long-term care for Medicaid enrollees as opposed to care provided in a traditional long-term care institution.

Critical Access Hospital (CAH)

Created to provide medical care in areas where there is limited access to providers. These hospitals and care facilities receive payment considerations from Medicare.
